Title: The wierdest thing....

This may sound really strange but recently, under hard acceleration, my hand brake light on the dash comes on.
I presume that the switch may have a loose contact which shorts out when the car is in motion?
Has anybody seen this before or even know exactly where the switch is?

Another thing to look at is your handbrake..........do the cables need adjusting?
If you're having to pull the handbrake lever up quite a fair way then I suspect that when you release the handbrake its not sitting down enough and the the switch isn't making properly...........when the light comes on, try pushing the handbrake lever down.......does the light go off?

The handbrake cables have bben replaced recently along with the brake fluid. Both seem ok now though.
I'll have to have a good look this weekend. Thanks anyway chaps, i'll keep you posted.
