Title: revs drop when i turn my steering wheel

when im idling and i turn my steering wheel the revs on my mk2 seem to drop and i hear a sort of a buzzing/humming sound? is my steering rack failing?

I assume you've got power steering, check the fluid level if thats ok then your pump may be on its way out.

yeah i forgot to mention that, my fluid levels are ok :sad:

how much does it drop? 100ish is normal. its buzzing/humming because it has to work very hard to move stationary wheels!

It drops noticable and the vibrates a little more thn usual, the buzzing is quite loud and steering seems heavy. its almost as if im driving a car without power steering when im idiling but not quite as bad. dunno if its just the 280mm momo team though
