Hi

You will need a manifold, a 4-2-1 is good for mid range power, a 4-1 is good for top end power, so get the type to suit your driving style.  Have a look at TSR, or look on e-bay, as they are not cheep.  If you are handy with a welder, you can cut and shut a MK1 to a MK2.

Happy hunting

other option is iether all scirocco 16v OEM parts (good luck with that!) or make up your own downpipe.  I have the 2nd option, top half of a 16v downpipe welded to bottom half of 8v mk1 downpipe, with a bit of jiggery pokery.

hottuning  do a mk1 16v downpipe,    bought one with ideas to adapting it for something else a few months ago,  there a bit slow on the shiping but the manifold looked good for the money.   i think 4-2-1 system suits the 16v better than a 4-1.   much better in the mid range not much diffrent up top

if its an ABF you need to watch out, as its a bit taller.  iirc the storm one is designed with the ABF in mind?  friend of mine (5harp3y) off the no-rice forums has an ABF in a MK1 cab, hes using the storm manifold.
