Title: MOt failure
Post by: oakgreengolf on 06 October 2008, 18:43
Spent the whole weeked sorting the car out for the mot, changed the rear calipers for mk3 ones so i now have a handbrake that actually works yehaa . Put a new ball joint on. Nipped the rear bearings up as they where a bit wobberly. Still failed oh well ive got 10 days now to get the work done.

1. Both inside tyres down to the wire on the inside. ( thinking camber/ tracking? car is lowered )

2. Rear exhaust mounting doesnt fully support the exhaust. ( weld a hook on i suppose )

3. Fuel pump and filter unsecure also an advisery that the fuel pipes to the filter are excessivly corroed. ( Think ill either replace this or secure it for the time being)

4. Nearside floor has a small hole, looks like some one has jacked the car up on the floor in the past so will need a plate welding on.

Not to bad i suppose. Really p**sed of about the front tyes as theres loads of tread on the outside

Are there any other fuel pump assemblies that will fit my car as i can't see any on ebay and i beleive the fuel lines are super expensive!!

could be worse mate, should be able to get that all done in a day.

school boy error on the tyres tho , As soon as a tester sees something that simple then they will wonder what the rest of the car is like!! I sware ive had some cars that only went through cos i washed them before they went in!

have you checked gsf or euro cp for the fuel lines?
