Post by: JamesFSO on 17 June 2003, 19:14
I wonder if anyone can help, im looking for a seat trimmer in the west london area who can just adjust and trim my seat covers (expensive ones) to my Golf CAB.  Anyone know of any ?

Also with wear and tear of, can temp repairs be done to convertable roofs ? I have tears either side and wonder if anyone else have tidyed them up instead of folking out for a new roof ?

Many Thanks Peoples !

I dont know about London but theres a trimmer opposite my work at Fairoaks Airport(Chobham, only 30 minutes from London) they can probably sort you roof out as well, there ment to be very very good....  Often see a VW split screen and they refurbed that, its beautiful now....  I'll get their name and number after I've finished my lunch....

No, havent been to no-rice yet....  Went down with my mate in his mk2 but didnt stick around as had to go out, am planning on getting down there soon but would like to get my car starting problem sorted as its a little embarrasing, have to try about 6-7 times B4 it starts, but when its cold it starts first time....  Wierd a....  RIch - Yeah, I'll pop over very soon and we can have a look....  Wheres the acs cafe meet then Silversixty?? Rich, I cant get out of helping my mum this weekend but I should be avalible on Sunday so hopefully I'll pop up there then....

Ok, keep your mobile handy and hopefully I'll tie up with you then.........

I assume disconnecting the cold start injector hasn't made any difference? Might as well connect it up again.........thought you might have had drippy injectors, but if there is no improvement after disconnecting that  cold start injector then I guess its not that...........

Hey rich, how was the weekend??  Mine was bad, blew the top water hose leading to my rad on Sunday morning, was taking it for a spin B4 I was going to join you and think I thrashed it a little too hard.. Got a spare one int the garage I think but cant get to it cos of all my bro's rubbish in there..  Car doesnt start any better by the way mate... ???

Took the cabrio out for a spin yesterday........she's sweet   8)
Changed my water pump and that has now fixed the coolant leak.

I'm baffled as to why your car isn't starting very well..........I think we're going to have to spend some time on it  ???

Was your water hose in a poor state or is there something else wrong that caused the hose to go (overpressurized water system)?

Good boy Rich, bout time you got it on the road :D

Hose has about a 3mm slit pointing towards the Distributor cap, soaked it.. :'( Its all good though, got another in the garage, just got to move a few things..  Was thinking my probs could be to that tiny fuel leak by the pump, jacked her up the other day and it all looked a bits damp, didnt smell of petrol though ???

ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY MAN ??? :-X :-[ :'( :-\ :o >:(
