Well just booked a last min ferry to Holyhead (going to Leeds) and I fancied having a bit of fun "sans wife" and I remembered the road in Wales, but I cant seem to find it. Before anyone says "your going the long way" as I said no wife = road fun! So can anyone help, where is this road? I thought the post was stikkie'd

A great drive for me is to start at Worcester, A44 all the way to Rhayader, left onto the A470 down to Builth Wells, right onto the A483 to Llandovery, Lower Rd to Llangadog, left onto the A4069 through the Brecon Beacons National Park and then back home via a different route.
Most of the roads on the trip are VERY enjoyable to drive but the A4069 through the Park is quite simply THE BEST DRIVING ROAD I’VE EVER BEEN ON, it’s amazing! Good road surface, 2 lanes (not too tight), sharp corners, sweeping corners, undulation and visibility is really good so you can take the racing line a lot.
I’ve added a map below for anyone interested in doing the drive.

A few pics, best bit isn't visible here. Might take some more when I go again!

Well, if you advertise it as from BK to your house, then whenever any poster tries the road, they might bring some BK with them!

Dave Fish,
I live in Brynamman which is just south end of your coloured in section - not to be biased - but it is the best road I have ever driven and I travel a lot !!! The way to travel it is to come from the Brynamman side and head towards Llangadog - that is the most pleasing in my belief any how. The hair pin at the top for your information is known as Tro'r Gwcw, - cwcw's bend !
Regards,
Gareth

its a bit of a trek but my best road is the furkapass in switzerland (not forgetting thet germany is in between and the ring is on the way back)going south to north, its full of very tight harpins and fast straights then on the way back down the otherside theres 300ft drops with only a piece of rope in places to stop you going over so masses of concentraition needed also was diverted over an old mountain road which was cobbles, excellent in the dry bloody lethal in the wet.

I have only driven it the other way. I'll give it a go that way next time! Next challenge for me is to do the Evo triangle.

Anywhere in Scotland for the best drives, You dont have to go far to find Brilliant driving roads, especially as you go through Central to the Highlands, just Amazing, so get yersel's up here

These are all great roads but with a 60 mph speed limit they don't exactly challenge a GTI.
Come over to the Isle of Man. No speed limit means your remapped ED30 will be overtaken.

Yup, agreed. Around Fort William, but also Shetland has some awesome roads too.

£230 seems to be the best I can get!
