Title: lowering my car
Post by: sidecarphil on 04 October 2008, 16:24
just serviced my golf and fitted new grooved and x drilled front discs

BUT one of the front coil springs are broken and a rear shock is a bit sloppy

So my idea is to lower the old girl , but how far ?? she is my daily driver so nothing too low :) and which is the better make for about 250 euro's ???

Hi,

I suppose it depends on what the roads are like which will determine the drop you go for. You should be able to get a set of budget coilovers for the money you want to spend, then you can adjust the height at your leisure......50mm would be a safe bet.

Yeah that is my car  Don't really know the ride height as I am using coilovers...I guess it's about 60mm, maybe a touch more.
