can anyone point me towards a site that will talk me through changing my cambelt on my 88 gti ??

No better place than the haynes book.  The job is easier than it looks. unless you've got a valver, never done one of them.  ;)

Agreed, that is a useful link.  It also makes me happy knowing that a mk1 has the K-jet on the other side.  ;)

Glad you found the link useful, unfortunately I sold the Jetta 6 mos ago but left that page up for now, however, it will be coming down soon.

I had no idea what I was doing then...but feel free to copy or move it to a more permanent location if you find it useful  :P
