I know there has been a few threads about Parrots with some quite forthcoming information, I realise this is a forum for the GTi , but was wondering whether anyone could assist with this query ?
I have a problem in so far that my N95 has broken, I have taken it to a Nokia Service Repair Centre who have returned the phone to Nokia. They have advised me that when the phone will be returned all data contained on th phone will have been erased. I've only just had the phone, and have sold my old one, have been a bit of an idiot in so far as haven't backed up the phone.
Now ... is there any way of retrieving my contacts from my Parrot 3100 ? I know I had to manually send them to the Parrot when I intially paired the phone and the device. Bearing in mind that since I am no longer in possession of the phone, will I be able to at least get into my phones profile on the parrot and manually record the details ?
I am also concerned that when I get the phone back - it'll have to be re-paired, or in the even of it connecting to the old profile stored in the parrot that it'll synchronise thus wiping all the contacts off the parrot ??
If anyone could help, I'd be really grateful - I'm lost without my contacts - in over 10 years of mobile phone usage I have never lost a single contact.
Am going to contact Parrot technical support in the morning - but was just wondering if anyone could assist ?
Thanking All In Advance,
Regards,
Gareth

As far as I know you will be able to access the contacts on the Parrot as they are loaded in to its memory so a blank phone will still have the parrot based contacts available for use in the car but not away from the car. I dont believe you can push them back from the parrot to the phone. Parrot Support might be able to access the contacts using the firmware cable for upgrading. If all else fails see if a laptop can connect to the parrot kit using bluetooth maybe you can get at them that way and then sync them back to your phone from the laptop.
Your contacts may be on the sim and not on the phone, if so these should be available once your sim is replaced in the phone.
