This isn't really nuts, this is just a badged up Cupra with a remap by the looks of things, for a silly amount of extra cash..
-
Arent the owners chipping them to 300bhp anyway ?
-
Why would you spend the extra cash on the 'limited edition' version when you can buy a normal Cupra which are relatively cheap anyway and remap to 300bhp for around £500. Makes no sense whatsoever Seat!

Having owned a couple of remapped cars now, I would rather save my cash and get it remapped myself. Especially as most dealers are ok with remaps anyway, not in there interest to turn the work away really (technician's words, not mine). Plus that's if they know it's mapped to start with..
-
i mean the Seats, i hvae my ED30 remapped too

Yeah I know ya did mate, not sure why I did the wink smiley ... I know quite a few lads with mapped Cupras off SCN.
-
when they say 100 will be made, then I'm sure the actual figures would be more like 1000.

Costs less than 240hp Cupra, actually.
-
buy the looks of it, a pirelli is gonna be a more of a good purchase with such low numbers coming out with the new model around the corner.
-
my friend has a leon cupra K1, that thing shifts after a remap
-
easily acheived figure with the cupra's, ed30's and s3's basically anything with the ko4 turbo (that's 2.0tfsi)
so nothing new there :)
-
Hi carl, good to see you on here. I think you set up my select switch for my edition 30?
Anyway the car is running perfectly, still not had a go with the aggressive boost preset you set for me
-
i have  it flies now
-
Do you run it all the time on that preset?
What is yours set to?
-
hi guys!
yea Luca that would have been me,
Glad you're happy! :)
-
Thanks carl.
Will probably be going stage 2 after i have the full milltek done, would do s3 intercooler aswell but dont think i need it as its getting alot colder now. Will definately put the intercooler on around spring before the summer hits (not that we get much of a summer )
Need to do some vag com logs on mine again to make sure i havent occured the misfire problem that some 08 cars are experiencing. Didnt have the misfire when the map was set up by corey but i may have occured it later on. Just going to get it checked for peace of mind.
-

i was running it at boost 6 timing 2 fuel 9 but now at boost 8 timing 5 fuel 9 and it does pull harder
-
still a seat though

Mine has been at B8 T5 F4 from the start. Im starting to worry why my fuel setting is so low, everyone seems to have theirs on 9 and mine is at 4 .
Other presets are a poor fuel one which is set to B6 T5 F5 and the aggressive boost which is set to B8 T4 F8
-
change it on your select plus to same as mine fella on your A B C settings
-
Will speak to corey first as there must have been a reason for him to put the fueling so low, as he checked the car on vag com with those settings and the car didnt show any faults. I can help but think the car is running too lean on F4 though
-
just change it fella it more than fine thats the best thing about revo you get to play with it  if all u use is v power then up the fuel as i have done over 10k on fuel 9 and its better for it trust me
-
If i up the fuel number to 9 am i leaning the air fuel mix or making it richer?
-
Why is there no REVO in Switzerland!? I also want to play with settings....
-
Just put mine to F9 and it pulls much better midrange . Nice one matt
-
luca, if you do get a chance to do some logs; if you send me them to carl.saunders@revotechnik.com i'll have a look over them and see if we can run any higher settings for daily use :)
peskarik, we are always looking for new delears in new dealers so see if you can get some local VAG specialists/dealers interested and get them to email me at the above address and then we can get revo code on your car :)

I would ideally need to go and see corey at quattronics but he is a little far from me just to go and get logs done.
Could i take it to a revo dealer closer to me?
How much would it cost?
Prosport is nearest to me.
-
There are some countries where Revo is a dealer option on SEAT's. My bet is this is the same thing although I would be surprised if there is not at least an uprated intercooler.

It probably isn't pal, ADS at Preston is, and Dave's a bit more switched on to the Vag-com stuff than Peter at Prosport as he's a Subaru guy, tell Dave I told you about him, he will do a deal
-
Just need him to plug the laptop in the car and see how its running on the settings i have. Shouldnt cost too much. Need to leave it a bit cos i have my leon cupra brakes coming 2moro so they need to be fitted, milltek downpipe is on its way so need some cash to get that fitted too .
Has been an expensive month lol.
Will give dave a ring when i get time and book the car in for a check up. Nice one gaz
-
get yourself a hex+can vagcom cable; will help you no end with modifying the car! (plus people will love you for your vagcom )

There very good Luca, used mine loads, i got mine from Neg at a bargain price though

That would be really good matt. I can send my logs down to carl then and see if i have the misfire problem, or need to adjust my sps settings.
Will buy one soon as its always good to know how the car is running/fueling etc.
Ive just bought the leon cupra brakes so they need to be fitted, along with a milltek downpipe i just bought and an ecs dogbone mount
Last 2 things will be vag com and coilovers.
Then i need to stop spending money on this bloody car!!

Jesus, there is a serious amount of pure sh!t posted on PistonHeads. The simple fact which they have got completely wrong, is the fact that the 265PS S3 engine has its own specifically re-inforced crankcase and bed plate. This is NOT shared with either the Ed30 nor the Cupra. However, my guess is that just like the cars used in the official Seat Cupra Championship, the cars will actually use the S3 engine in the Cupra body, and tune it appropriately.

Agreed about the cr@p on Pistonheads but that's just typical of internet forums.
I reckon it's just a re-mapped Cupra in the same vein as the 240bhp Golf GTI they released over there. I'm guessing here (any Dutch members confirm?) that VW and SEAT in Clogland use the same importer which isn't directly owned by the mother company like here in the UK.....
-
i know that the cars can get remapped to 300bhp but the fact this one comes with a warrenty, would really add a little peace of mind.
How come we get a Pirelli edition  but no power upgrade !

Sort of. But PH is just a "generic" or "one size fits all" type of forum, with no real marque-specific in-depth expertise. TyreSmoke is nearly as bad. And the fact that they are both "commercial" sites, and are simply allowing joe public to swell the coffers of their own company bank balances is one reason why I wont use either (even though I am registered on both). One of them sites is actually owned by a company which Michael Hesletine is a Director - he is fcukin rich enough.
Stay here and help swell JVs coffers!

Nope, if it is an "official" Seat car, complete with a full pan-European manufacturers warranty, it will have to use the S3 BHZ donkey, which is said by Audi insiders to be able to cope with around 450PS reliably.
-
TT, you say S3 engine, due to some of the improvements specific to it, can cope reliably with 450hp.
What about E30 engine, what are the margins there, in your opinion?
