Title: Popping & other sounds coming from speakers

Hello all,

recently I've noticed a popping sound coming from the speakers shortly after I insert the key into the ignition, then a kind of low rumbling or the kind of sound you get when you hear wind blowing onto a microphone, and to top it all off the speakers dont work until 30-45 min into a journey!  :cry:

I've repositioned the earth wire to a different place (to the bolt in the boot that secures the tail light, see pic) but that's not helped. But is it even an earth issue?

What the heck is going on!? Does anyone have any advice?

try sandin it down to the bare metal be careful if u get a leak itl rust

sounds like you've got a crossed wire somewhere. could be a bad earth i guess, but it might be worth checking all the audio wiring. especially headunit wiring if its not standard.
