Hi all,
Now to begin with, I have Infinity Kappa Components capable of giving out 100RMS so bare that in mind.
My JBL sub blew due to a manufacturer defect and couldn't be arsed to send it back to CAD as I had to pay for delivery which would cost at least half of what I paid for the sub in the first place, so anyway...
Also have a JBL 1004e 4 channel amp that has powered it all, but I'm selling that to my friend in a week or two.
Basically I would like to keep it all Infinity if I could, I like the Infinity 1250 12" subwoofer as I've been using that off my mate for the past few weeks, it's got a good sound, so I can pick one of them up for about £45.
My main question is what amp to go for? I'll be installing a 4AWG wiring kit in when I do this if this helps, but I only want the one amp to power everything and making sure all speakers have enough power.
I've seen this:
http://www.amazon.com/Infinity-Reference-5350a-5-Channel-Amplifier/dp/B000R22X1A
It's being sold for about £175 in most places, so was wondering what you guys thought? I like the fact it looks sweet, and also has a remote bass control function, my HU has one but this would be nice me thinks.

BTW, what if I bought from an American site? That one on Amazon.com would work out way cheaper on the exchange rate.

i really wouldn't use one amp to do the lot if i was you mate, and if your comps are running 100w rms then powering it with 50w rms amp would be torture becuase and bridging the sub of it aswell would mean you'd be chomping loads of power!! if i was in your position and wanted to keep the comps, i'd buy a good 2 channel amp to power them as two channels tend to have higher outputs than the equivilent 4 channel, and with the sub get a class d monoblock i was looking at the directed 1100d on ebay great power and well effiecient.

So what are we saying then?
Something like this to power the sub:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-mrpm352-p-5518.html
And something like this to drive the components:
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/vibe-slick-p-5664.html
I picked those because the Alpine mono amp has the exact match of power to my Infinity sub, and the Vibe 2 channel amp because it's marked at 100watts RMS which matches my Infinity components.
What do we think?
