Title: Swapping seat subframes
Post by: Gloves88 on 29 September 2008, 13:49
I intend to swap the subframes over on the front seats.

There was a thread up a while ago where someone had put a link up to a project thread where this had been done.

I'm struggling to find this project thread....anyone know which one it is?

Cheers

Do you mean swapping the base foam? If not, the driver's subframe won't go on the passenger side

Without wanting to come across as really stupid...but what clips? :)

I've taken the reclining bar thing out but that doesnt seem to have done anything

ok...ignore the last comment.

I know what clips where meant.

I dont know if its different on 3door seats but there is also a screw on the one side that is holding the back rest frame on.....it will not budge!....

Yeah, they put thread lock stuff on those screws. The head on one screw came off one seat I was doing, so I had to drill the shaft out, and rethread the hole. Easy enough to do, but annoying to have to do "another job"

That would explain a few things!
