Title: Injector Seals ?
Post by: sdall30 on 29 September 2008, 13:31
I'm in the process of rebuilding the head on my valver and have been told by a friend that it's best to replace the injector seals befor re fitting the injectors , I rand the local stealership and told them year engine size ect , and told them it was a PB engine and they kept going on about a seal kit and that it wasn't an off the shelf part.. Are they telling porkies or what ??

Where's the best place to get them from and what should I be asking for ?

do you mean the little O rings on the injectors? - My head gasket set came with these.

or the seats that sit in the cylinder head? - These can be reused if in good condition. They unscrew with a large allen key/socket

It's the seats that sit in the head , they don't look too bad but seeing as it's off and accessable I thought I'd change them anyway

16v engine won't be a PB code

If its a 16v, I got new injector seals from GSF - they cost literally pence.
