Been offered some rims off a 99 plate s3, there 17" obviously 5 stud, will they fit onto my p plate mk3 without any issues?
-
Yes should be fine but you need 205/40/17 tyres, if yours is lowered then they may catch the arches.
-
they got 225 45 17 rubbers on them, car isnt lowered yet but will be when cash is available, only real reason i want them is the fact my standard rims need 4 new tyres and it works out cheaper buying the audi wheels! will they scrub with those size tyres then?
-
Yes they will catch I think with those on, very tight for clearance with 205/40/17.
-
doh! ill keep looking then, if anyone has any cheap rims with good tyres on then let me know, before the boyz at kwik fit bend me over!! cheers
-
Whats your budget
-
250 ish, but there aint much kicking about for that sort of money! 4 new tyres on the standard rims will cost me 200...!

Personally i think the s3 rims look pretty cool on a mk3, why not buy them then flog the tyres?? or see if anyone wants to swap tyres??
