Title: Noobie on the search for a mk3 gti

Hey, just signed up in the search for a mk3 gti, a car I've always wanted. I figured an enthuiast site like this was the best place to find a good one.

I've come over from the Vauxhall side of life owning 1 (well maybe 2) Nova's (dont laugh!) as project cars:

which was striped down and rebuilt into this:

Not to everyones taste but it's my track toy. Im looking to change the daily runner (Fiesta) in for a Golf, seen a few very nice examples on here so far.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Looked at a black 3dr yesterday, needs a bit of work tho...

Nova's are an accuired taste  :drool: the grey one's not a looker, but my god does it go! 700kg + 150bhp = Done :laugh:

Took me best part of two years start to finish and then melted a piston. It's currently sat up in the air with no engine :sad:
