not on me mate - have at home.

I want to replace the 2 rubber tubes that go into that plastic black box on the top of the Rocker cover - are these oil breather pipes?

Also heard that the vacuum hose can whistle if split and cause the stalling prob - I may as well replace this for peace of mind. Dunno where abouts this is, but got me haynes manual coming soon!! lol

cheers

gsf have the latest v.a.g catalogue (well its more upto date than my 2006 version!), so they should be able to see the part numbers and diagramms

Vacuum hose is generic.  I bought 3m of silicon hose from e-bay (samco apparantly, but you never know lol), and replaced 4 pieces of piping in the engine.  The long one on the top from the throttle body to the ECU, then there are 3 others on top of the engine I replaced, with plenty of spare to fix the central locking in the door!

bit off topic MrTurner but is the central locking an easy fix jobie as I think our Mk3 drivers door needs some tlc as you can hear the air pressure hissing behind the lock - split pipe? or come disconnected maybe??  :undecided:

GSF in Derby don't do the oil breathers, said i need to go to the main stealers to get them!! same with the expansion tank pipe too - got it from Veedub for £10.89.

Anyone got any pics to highlight the vacuum pipes in a mk3 8v with an AGG?????

want to replace them all.
