They look like nice audi (A3/4??) Wheels. Was going to say try some Chromey BBS, or porsche alloys, but they might be a little over budget too.

But I reckon Chromey (shiney) BBS on that, with maybe a little more drop (maybe not need any more drop if they're 15's  and what you have on currently are 16/17 I would imagine), would bring the oldskool and newskool looks together  could be a winner.

Yea i'd looooove some porche wheels with alnd brake setup.. but there not cheap!

My alloys are 15x195, i want some wider and possibley bigger, but not too much as i do wanna drop it more as well...

they are early a3 wheels.

have a look on ebay for a3, tt mk4 golf, skoda octavia, 5 stud polo etc they will all fit. also old shape toyota celica and classic impreza shouild fit too. have a look at alloyguide.co.uk for comparison tables.

what about polishing your wheels? they will look completely different and its something you can do yourself. personally i think youe current wheels look bang on but i know what its like when you fancy a change!

Cheers for the link mate i will check that out in a minute... I see what you mean about my wheels looking right, the suite the car very well but all the work thats been done to the car is credit to the previous owner and i want to add my own touch! But i like it subtle rather than going to OTT so i cant think of what else to do, easiest option to change the looks of a car - change the weels :

Everyone no's that the wheels make the car just like the clothes make the man

they can also break it...

i once saw a 5 dooe mk2 with a vr6 motor and that was sporting some 5 stud north american rallye wheels. thats what he told me anyway. they were just like the common g60 steels but 5 stud. they looked really sublte. go find some of them and start the mk3 steel revolution!

what about widened mk4 steels?? starting to get expensive again though

Thats true!

Yea i would like some wider wheels tbh, thats why i want some different ones rather than polishing mine etc...

Not sure about steels though... could live with them for a winter wheel i suppose but not something i'd want to ride round on all the time, especially for the price they are.
