Had my second service done yesterday at my supplying/local VAG dealer. happy to report it was quite painless and no gripes this time
I supplied the oil - Castrol Edge 5w30 and the service + brake fluid change cost £242.59. There was a recall (code 24M5) for the fuel pressure sensor and I had reported that the aircon wasn't cold enough, so after examination and contact with VW, I'm getting the aircon condensor, dryer and some other thing replaced under warranty next month when the parts have arrived.
I'm getting my car professionally mopped and detailed later this week and was a bit dismayed to hear that it will have to go back into the dealer for the warranty work after this but at least everything will get sorted. The wife's Aygo blows colder  I'll be insisting on a thorough before and after inspection though :undecided:
Visual Health Check report shows that all tyres still have 7mm right across the tread - 2 years and 11200 miles - need to get out more and develop the right foot !!! Always was a sympathetic driver though

That price seems a bit steep for the work carried out, I payed £180 for the exact same service with them supplying all the parts/fluids, and that included the brake fluid change!
I had a cheap quote from my local SEAT dealer, so the VW dealer price-matched them no questions asked!
At the moment these main dealer service centres are desperate for business, so my advice is to shop around.
They will even price match non-franchised garages within a 5 mile radius, as long as genuine VW parts are used.

Looks like I missed out there then - see the offers on until end of December. There's alot of difference between dealer pricing across the country as well. Market forces I guess.

I paid £240 inc long life oil, although they screwed up should of been £252.
