Obviously not a Mk1 Golf, but you get the idea!
Maybe ATS cups, detailed/polished engine (1043cc), G40/Golf interior, waxed to within an inch of it's life!
No other reason than my GTi is in the garage & I've been reminiscing about the days with my first car (1991 Polo CL) but this time low & phat!
-
Surely you get paid more than £50 a month
-
Not sure on the ats...I like the more blingy wheels against that colour...looks like fun!!
Dinx
-
At least your getting paid......i'm still unsure if the Halifax can afford me!!

Could have a point, maybe some BBS but not sure if they'd look as good with stretched tyres!?
Either way, it will depend on what fleabay turns up cheapest!!
-
Possibly castellets? just an off the top of my head suggestion..stretched and stupidly low
well..your not going anywhere fast in a 1043..might as well..
Dinx

What's the polo like compared to the golf? As easy to work on? As many parts around? What sort of engines do they come with? Not been into VW's before but think I'm getting slowly hooked..
-
Just going on my experience - mk1 golf v mk4 polo - the golf wins everytime..feels more sturdy, better handling, better build quality...and its annoys me that the air filter on the polo has like 5-6 screws - just for an air filter!!
saying that the gt I had was fab for a little nippy car...and some of the polos being modded now are well
Dinx
-
I look forward to seeing that Polo become a Po-low
-
You're going to convert a Polo into a Golf?
You Golf3 boys have some funny ideas.
-
Have always liked those Polo Coupes - what the biggest lump you can fit in them? Can they take a valver???

Haha! Something like that, just the cal look stylings anyway, or perhaps more euro looker. Hell, a trend has to start somewhere & I'd almost put money on there being fewer Polo Coupe's around than Mk1 Golfs!!
Not to say it's a better car, just something interesting to play with!
-
Is that the shape that they did the G40 in?

Yup!
Well, the MK3 shape which basically had a face lift at the front.
-
my mate has one, currently just finishing popping in a 55k mile tuned G40 lump with around 160 bhp

Now there's an idea!

aye, his is a silver G reg coupe S... we had to travel the length of the country for the engine, bought it off some hill billy kid and his very strange family, was glad to get away from them :lipsrsealed: engine was a good un at 55k, he sent the charger off to jabba for some work doing to it, thing will fly when its done, just having to source a smaller intercooler as the one we have it too large...think ill keep that for my 20vt project

No, the bay is to small. Well OK you could fit one but it would be a real ball ache. I thnk 1.4 GT lump or the G40 is about the biggest you can go before you have to start cutting up the chasis legs to get clearence.

Do a shop please with either Compomotive TS, Kerscher New Star or Steffan RS Design - just to see what it looks like..

Sadly the sale fell through, the woman selling it had problems with the new car they were suppose to be getting which was a shame.
Just have to hold out for a MK1 golf instead!!
