Title: how do i tighten P.A.S belt?
Post by: al_bey on 24 September 2008, 16:49
I really need to tighten my P.A.S belt. I've have had a go, and i think ive undone the right bolts (how many are there?) It just doesnt seem to move at all.

The reason i ask is because my power steering is intermittent. Do people think this will help?

Cheers

bolt on the bottom tensions it. tighten to tension. if the belt is old/stretched you might as well replace it.

Is it hard to replace? Do you just have to slacken the tension off and simply pull the belt off? I just cant seem to get any movement out of mine.

I had to slacken 3 bolts (inc tensioner) then tap the mounting bracket with a small amount of force to get it moving.  Belt slips off and it tensioned up easy.
