hi all

a mechanic friend and i are about to start a mk2 vr6 conversion, well im genna watch! my thinking is to start with a decent shell from gti or driver (2dr) and swap everyting across from a mk3 donor car including running gear!

my question is, has anyone on here done this before and have any bits of advice on niggly little things that they found along the way! Im fairly confidant on the basic swapover, but there is always the chance i have overlooked something little, but very time consuming!

oh, and i dont want anyone telling me not to do it, because they will be wasting there time  :tongue:

Careful choosing mounts.  You want the motor as low as possible, so reducing torque steer.   Just watch out for ya sump!!
