Megs Endurance Tyre Gel is pretty good, gets good reviews generally and is reasonably priced

Some fine wire wool with metal/chrome paste cleaner will do the job,  but it's a mucky one   Wear some protective gloves is my advice

I was trying to clean my exhaust tips last week. Used some wire wool pads from halfrauds (Brillo pads without the soap basically). Spent a good ten minutes on each tip to get it clean and still then it wasn't brilliant. The edges of the exhaust were very bright though!

I asked about in the detailing section and have been told to first use wire wool, then scour pad (the kind you use for washing up with a green thin layer at the top) and then microfibre cloth + autosol polish. Will be trying this tomorrow.

I use a little bit of fine rubbing compound after the loose stuff has been washed off to buff the exhaust tips up.

And smells good too   Don't use too much though like I did the first time I used it and had black spray up the side of the car when I drove down the road!

I also use Meguiars metal polish and apart from that smelling yummy as well it seems to make my exhaust pretty shiny.

Ive used the megs tyre gel and cant fault it apart from it leajed all over my wash mitts and drying towels etc
Thought i would go for a change so i ordered chemical guys tyre gel which is on par with the megs stuff
I use autosol for the exhaust tips and it works a treat, the longer you spend on the exhaust the better the results.

Just a quick tip.

Before putting the tyre Gel etc on. Scrub the wheels off. Most people think spraying the wheel is enough. Its not.

Use a proper scrubbing brush and some car shampoo and scrub each tyre. Allow to dry and then put the Gel on. It lasts a lot longer that way.

Another tip.

For those with black bumpers. IF you have a heat gun then go along each bumper with it but be careful not to melt the plastic. This brings the black back. Then treat with a sealent.

Not sure about TC but mine is degreases and blasted with a high pressure washer weekly when the car is being cleaned. Then wiped down with a microfibre...

Oh ya. If you blast it with a pressure washer. Stay well away from the exhaust the next time you start it

WD40 works a treat to get the general crud off.
