No - looks cack.
-
ohhh, anyone suggest a smoothish looking bumper fron and rear.
-
Smooth the standard bumper a few peolpe on here have done it i think it looks really good, but i supose it is hard to do if u have no filler/smoothing experience.

The trouble with thay bumper is it says to me "I want a Mk 5 but can't afford one so I'll try to make my car look like one" which it doesn't, unfortunately. Think there must be someone on the market who does a smooth Mk 3 bumper surely?
-
no... ooh no... that looks 'orrid
audi wannabe... yuk
-
ok, thts a no then. i like the rear bumper thou, might go for tht and a different front

Rear one's much better - am quite liking that.
-
I think you need this site with kits like that.....http://www.barryboys.co.uk (http://www.barryboys.co.uk)
they are quite individual tho.....and each to their own I believe (just not my style front or back)
-
im new to the modding scence, so wht are peps thoughts on this look.
vento front (http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p299/silver-corsa/Maxsport20Front20Side.jpg)
with this rear (http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p299/silver-corsa/95f8_1_sbl.jpg)
all in black on a 5 door gti.
thanks for your thoughts
-
i like the rear more than the front.. altho on the rear is the splitter merged in with the bumper? im not down with the lingo, but i think i'd prefer it without a blended/merged splitter
-
leave original bumpers on....lower the car, a few choice mods like this and your on to a winner....its the best (and only) way to go with a golf....
-
yeah bodykit + golf just doesnt go.
take a oem bumper and mod that a bit, smooth it mayb.
barryboys.co.uk LOL!!!

lol hehehe  it works tho, really does, the amount of people that stop me when im out its mad!, had some dude in a mk 1 cabrio running D90's pull up next to me at the lights on saturday afternoon saying he loved the way it looked, OE but with a twist..basically not no over kill, i personally like the mk 3 in standard form anyhow...they look good even with just a good drop in my opinion
-
All that has been said I agree - body kits can look sooo chad and if they're not fitted right too look even more pants + like boneybradley you find ya motor posted on BarryBoys web site - and that ain't a good thing.
Like kells says keep it standard but with a twist to make it "yours" or go the Q car route - looks like a 1.4, badged as 1.4, on steel rims BUT slightly lowered, uprated brakes, with a 1.8T engine or VR6 hiding under the bonnet
Then go out and scare some Scoobies
-
I don't get the appeal? Why but big bulbus rounded bumpers onto an otherwise straigt edged, angled body panel car?? :undecided:
Couldn't look more out of place if you tried?
That pic you posted isn't a Vento front end either? Just as well though as I think they look pretty awful!
As said, just concentrate on making the car as tidy as possible? Lowered, nice wheels, & very very clean!
-
Golfs fit into body kits like a fat man in a thong... its not rite.
The only one i could just about tollerate was the Vento front, because its the closest one to OEM i guess, but i wouldnt mind that one, i dont like the rear bumpers, Smoothed stock ones look sh*t loads better.
-
please please please don't do this... either front or back... it will look awful
however... if you do then please pop up some pics as i could do with a laugh! :afro:
-
i think thats a no then m8.......
LL ;)
-
wow you guys have successfully killed off his bodykit idea lol
But seariously like88 said just lower it and keep it clean its the best way to go i think. dont go OTT in my opinion
well thats my thoughts anyway
Dan
PS LL u got a valver yet? lol
-
no valver yet, saving up a load, so when i buy it, i aint using all my money and if decide to sell the 1.4 then i will have extra cash from that too!
having a clean car with great bodywork is hard enough! No rust? - you've done it :afro:
LL ;)
-
Err... No?
If you do it, you must be prepared that whatever you spend you will not get back, and also, as you can see by the number of people saying no, your market is severly limited come sale time, propably making the car worth less than a standard one.
Unless you have money you can afford to throw away, be very careful wth big body mods. IMO, keep them so you can return to standard come resale time.
But of course, you might just want to do it for the hell of it anyway. I did once (and never again to this extent!).

LL ;)

Im going to laugh at that fiesta and then run.
I like the paint tho actualy they suit it more than golfs, i mean that one looks quite nice. as much as i hate my self for saying it
deffo not a golf thing tho
-
nothing wrong with the fiesta m8
The spending of 10k getting it new and approximatly 6k modding it to sell it for £1k (ok, was 7 years old by then..), was the wrong thing about it!
