Title: 16v brake upgrade
Post by: billybodger on 22 September 2008, 08:59
Got a 95 16v with 280mm discs. I understand that later models and vr6 had 288mm ones with the same calipers. If i wanted to fit the later discs, would all i have to change  be the caliper mounting brackets?

I'm fairly certain that the calipers are not the same. Yours should have Girling calipers and the later 288mm set up had ATE calipers.

different calipers, hoses, carriers etc etc..... basically you need the full front set up to convert (for very little difference too!).. why net get some brembo max or ate power discs as these are slightly uprated o.e spec discs and a much cheaper option
