Title: front electric windows dont work (1997 mk3 golf cl)

anyone had this problem?? know wht it could be?

im hoping the wires are jus a bit tight inside the door and have snagged but ill take the inside of the door of tomorrow and have a look. any advice on how the inside of the drivers door comes off?? i cant see any screws. lol

also anyone know where i can buy an induction kit for my car? thanks

If the electric windows have stopped working then you'll need to scrap it.

(anything to get Golf3s off the road).

Does the passenger window work from the passenger switch. Switches are common as hell to break on those mate.

on a 1997 you should have total closeure fitted to the windows to see if its a broken wire there are two things to check.
1 hold the key in the drivers door lock in the open position and all your windows should open including the sunroof if fitted. if they dont check the central locking pump has a 12 pin connector.
2 when you operate the switch in the door is the motor clicking if so its a loose wire or worse as in the case of my mothers mk3 se the cable had jumped the runner.
90% of the time with MK3 electric windows its a loose wire
