Has anyone attempted to repair the central locking pipe? I took the rear door apart today to have a look and virtually everything in the wiring is fvcked (and I've not broken the male end of the central locking pipe).
I'm not sure of the best way to repair it. I was thinking it could use vacuum pipe with an inline connector? Any idea was size bore the piping is?

Just get some pipe from a scrappy?

I Replaced all the pipe on my MK2 with Poly pipe and pushin fittings.
Used 5mm pipe and 20lb fishing line to pull it all through well fiddley but satisfying when all you doors open

OK, I've fixed it now. Not easy. The original pipe has virtually no flex in it, so it can't be joined. I got some inline connectors, but the pipe wouldn't take them.
I had some silicon hose left over, so used that. That is lots more flexible, and pushed over the original pipe. All works now!
