Title: Rubbing noise????????????????

Bit of a funny one.  On full right lock there is a sort of rubbing noise coming from the other (passenger) wheel. It doesnt 'clunk' like you would probably expect from a CV.   It only happens at low speeds, although there might be a bit of a whistling noise when turning at speed. Bearings seem fine.  Nothing is obviously loose.  No obvious signs of rubbing anywhere either.  Could it be a CV?

All ideas greatly received.

Is your car lowered? Could be the tyre rubbing on the arch?

What wheels have you got as well, are they wider than normal or funny offset?

have a good look at the cv boot, around the anti roll bar mountings. there isnt much clearance around there!  I also had the tyre rubbing on the inner arch thanks to the haynes giving me the wrong lengths for the passenger fixed track rod  :angry:
