Title: Sticker Scum
Post by: pridders on 18 September 2008, 13:17
Hey All,

I have just peeled the stealer sticker of my tail gate window and it has left behind a right mess, looks even worse now!

What can I use to get all the residue off the glass without messing up the heating elements?

Cheers

if you have non of the above, try your normal car polish, some of those shift the sticker marks

WD40 or any spray lubricant will sort out the residue.

wd40 is a nightmare to use, its an oil and is a real pain to get shot of it without the rear screen always looking blurry.

If you have a Betterware catalog, get a spray called "sticky stuff remover" or Nail polish remover does the job as affective.

Olbass oil. Works a tread on stickers, but it does smell of vix inhaler so prob best not to use it on the inside!

Any oil will break down the sticky residue.  All you need do then is use some windolene, or an alternative and remove the oil.

Sorted.

Agree with the WD40 and oil.  Another alternative is to use white spirits to break down the sticky gunge, then clean up with metholated spyrids meths!

Why can't I speel 2dayz?
