I have found 2 little spots of rust at the bottom of the door, not very happy because there is no rust anywhere else!!
Whats the best way to sort this, and get a good finish on the door so its not thatn oticeable.
At the end of the day gonna get a respray, but it wont be for a while yet...
thanks

I would leave it until the respray.
Meantime try and slow the rusting down by covering any exposed areas & cracks with touch up paint.
If you really want to have a go at it (providing its light surface rust) then grind / file / sand back to shiney metal, then prime, touch in & laquer, then wet sand followed by a polish. But unless your skilled & patient you wont get a good finish.

Ive also got a few rust spots on various panels!
Do you know of any good/honest places to get a respray in your area drivebycar?
Cheers, G

Nah, havent looked into it that much yet, got some saving up to do first! think Im just going to get some rust killer to stop it spreading, waxoyl or something, then touch it up and hope for the best!
As long as it doesnt stick out liek a sore thumb then im sure I can survive for the time being. Just want ot make sure it doesnt spread really

I paid £100 to have the the very bottom section on either side of the car resprayed and the whole front lower valance resprayed too. Oh and some small touchups on other little spots of rust!
Happy with the price, but the whole of the front valances paint hasnt taken, and there's a few little spots on one of the doors that hasn't taken so it's going back to all be re done for free this weekend.

£100 seems very reasonable! where abouts did u get that done? altho when u say it didnt take, is that due to a poor job? or just one of those things which can be expected... im impressed they're sorting it out for free!

I had same problem few years back
find a small car repair shop preferable one that doesn't do too much insurance work
offer cash payment and don't give time limits. most probably they'd sort it in spare time

Well it was on the recommendation through a friend, so I think he may have done me a cheap deal on it. He was very shocked it didn't take. I've seen some of his other work and he's done fantastic jobs, so I'm expecting him to sort it properly :)
Well, I know if he'd try and charge me for it then I'd just drag his name through the ground through the power of the internet! It's so easy to do these days businesses have to be careful.

Rust here has often come through from inside the door and this can be a real can of worms. Sorry to be a possible carrier of bad news!
