hi could any 1 tell me what are the best mods to make an 8v Digifant engine faster???

chip!
full exhaust system,
kent racing cam,
port/polish
bore the head out to 2litres,
air filter

to do all that properly you should see your digi kickin out 160bhp+.

but id think all that work would cost you 3-4k to do. :(
for that money mate why dont you just buy a g60? :)
i wanted to do the above to my 8valve digi, then thought it would be more cost effective to get a g60 badboy! :D ;)

It's the bottom end that needs the modification to increase capacity ... and you'd be suprised how much money would need to do the things listed below. Certainly not 4 grand !

1. Chip say ?300 top wack although that's well over the odds
2. Exhaust ?300
3. Cam kit ?300
4. Head work ?200
5. Bottom end (Audi 2 litre swap) ?100
6. Panel filter ?30

That's only ?1250 for the parts new, ebay can help cut the costs again on things like exhausts - bit of DIY and auxiliaries for fitting etc; you'll only need ?1500ish !

cheers 4 that! by the way is it easy to get hold of G60's ??? because i dont think i have ever seen one.

I think ill get to work on that list, i have about ?1000 to spare

if you already got a grand then you would only need another 1k for midlad vw to do a g60 conversion for you!!!!
