Title: Deep scratch removal
Post by: ichbintk on 15 September 2008, 22:29
Hey guys,
I've stumbled across this section of the forum and it's amazing how perfect the paint on your cars is after you've finished with it. I'd love the same on mine but apart from the usual swirl marks I also have some deeper scratches on the bonnet. It's strange - they are all dead straight going down the bonnet - as if someones been at it with a rough bit of sandpaper. I know it's hard to tell without pictures but I need to find the lead for my camera and I'll post them. What is your advice on what to do?
Thanks in advance

Forgot to add - the scratches haven't gone through the laquer yet, although got the odd one here and there that looks white (does that mean it's gone down to paint? If so can these be fixed?)
Cheers

From memory I don't think so (can't check as my Dad has borrowed it until tomorrow) but if so does that mean a respray in order to fix it?

Just checked and yes, it does catch on my fingernail. Please advise on the best way to go about fixing it. Thanks, Tom.
