Title: green sh!t near the windows
Post by: Teutonic_Tamer on 15 September 2008, 18:45
OK chaps, what is the best way to get rid of that green slimy sh!t which seems to collect at the bottom of the window slides on the outside.  I think the "technical" term is verdigis or sommat!

Whoops, it aint verdigris (that is the colour which copper roofs go) :embarassed:

Yeah, it is like a very fine cross between moss and mould.  Similar stuff grows on fence panels in shady damp areas of your garden - bleach kills it on the fence - but don't really fancy bleaching the car!

i know the sh!t you mean

its just from areas of accumulated damp

to clear the areas of accumulated micro-vegetation I used a bucket of car shampoo soapy water and one of these little fellas

do it before you wash the car so you don't have to do it twice

it's one of those jobs you only have to don once in a blue moon... and if you're sad like me you'll do underneath the rubber trim round your windows and the rubber roof strips and right round that gap round the glass on the boot!  :nerd:

jet wash is my weapon of choice for this build up of gunk on window rubbers etc.

had a customers car 6 months back that had green sh1te on all the rubbers, quick spray of diluted truckwash68 let soak for a few minutes then remove with my jetwash.
