For anyone wanting a quality wax I can thoroughly recommend Collinite 476s.
Spent a few hours on the car yesterday, and topped it off with a couple of thin coats of Collinite. Found it really easy to apply and remove, and the beading this morning was awesome, literally like thousands of pea sized beads all over the car.
At about £15 a tin it is a real bargain too, particularly when you think of the price you can pay for wax.
Hopefully the durability is as good as everyone says it is. I will post updates...

collinite is a very good wax... very good value for money and was my 'starter wax' as it were
915 has a higher carnuba content but I am not sure if it is as durable
i love seeing beading in the morning on a car... this was mine the other day

I'll take your Collinite and raise you to Zaino CS. :smug:
Spray on, walk away, and boy what a shine! Lasts up to 9 months cover, perfect for over the winter.
1 spray of the stuff on a wing for example, 2 or 3 on the bonnet/roof, I even do my wheels with it. Top detailers/valeters on DW are using it with excellent results.
For real winter cover, clay the car first, then three coats of ZFX'd - Z2, then Zaino CS over the top. Should last right through to next spring. You still have to wash the car occasionally though

seriously guy if you want "beadier" get some purple haze i put some over the top of collinite 845 so the protections there and the dodo gives the most wet glossy finish.

i am using CG 50/50 on top of two coats of jetseal 109, primed with dodo lime prime after menzerna & PB Black Hole machine polish after a claying and wash with bilt hamber... would purple haze have a benefit on top of this? not doubting... just seem to be getting good results from the above and dont want to be wasting money on top of the 50/50 which is a very good wax imo?

cant see it guy, after a few coats of wax anymore just makes no difference and becomes a waste, just my 2p, sure everyone will disagree :undecided:
-
someone in my "camp" at edition 38 bought some of this collinite stuff, it was amazing, wasted countless bottles of good drinking water throwing it on the car! haha.

i don't know myself which is why i am asking... i only use one or two coats of wax atm
not sure if using different waxes will help
not wanting to go down the route of that chap with the corsa vxr (53 coats... wtf?) but happy to purchase stuff if it makes a difference

i use collinite 915 for peoples cars that i detail... its a really nice, good value for money wax, but i prefer chemical guys 50/50 for my own car

CG 50/50 is imense
iv just been using their XXX 47% carnauba wax and love it, so cheep too, use 2 coats max 3, any more is a total waste of time and product

i cant comment on 50/50 as ive never used it.
i use cg's ez creme glaze then 2x layers of either cg's m-seal or poorboys ex-p, then a layer or two of 845 wax and top it off with purple haze to enhance the glossy shine,
three layers of wax is about your limit really, idealy you would leave the last layer of wax for a few hours later so the 845 or chosen wax to cure onto the paint then add the dodojuice.
would highly recomend dodojuice just for its gloss qualitys, not sure how long the protection lasts hence i put it over the 845 as the 845 has the protection but lacks deep gloss.

corrected teh paint on the family s-max last week (lot of panel!!!), topped with 476 colinite to get through the winter... its stunning stuff.
I top that with swisswax/dodo juice for shine but 476 for durability first
zaino Cs is good, but cant compete with collinite for price - a little goes a long long way

yep collinite is very good value for money considering how good it is  also try there 845 insulator wax which is a liquid/gel form of the 476 does exactly the same as 476 but is easier to apply in cooler weather.
