Noooo, the Golf doesn't now come with a Bidet!
Anyway, the rear screen washer - might be a good idea to check where it is squirting.
Mine was squirting straight up, in the 12 o'clock position (which is wrong, but I'll get to that in a mo). My high level 3rd brake light is full of water (virtually since day one!) - but having a shufty through the relevant "official" manual - (unfortunately, not in this thread http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=54324) - I noticed that the correct setting for the rear screen washer was to aim it at roughly the 2 o'clock position, and not 12 o'clock! This should stop the high level brake light from getting a drenching, and hopefully help it last longer when out of warranty period. :nerd:
Annoyingly, my car has now had two genuine VW services, AND is due to have the brake light changed under warranty, yet the incompetant tw@ts completely failed to correctly adjust the rear squirter!

Good idea there actually.
When I had my Leon my rear squirter broke for a while and actually moved with the wiper - which made it wash better - needless to say it only lasted around 6months before having to be replaced  and back to the rubbish squirting.
Now just need to know how to stop people reversing into me

Nothing new there then
Quality control not one of their top priorities I think - should all be Civil Servants
