Post by: 2pac on 13 September 2008, 23:08
hi
my blower doesn't work on 4th speed (it used to stop working from time to time, but now it doesn't at all).
and i saw some time ago that the fuse was melted.
is it the switch that's fawlty?
or how can i check what's wrong before i buy things?
cheers

you'll need a blower resistor.... and unless you can try someones elses you cant test its 100% that but they do fail quite commonly!! check ebay for heater resistor (new are about £20)

4th speed? Do you have aircon then?

I would have thought its the switch as the other settings work.

When the resistor blows it only works on setting 3.

abit 50/50

yeah, i have aircon.
i too don't think it's the resistor cos' on top speed it should get direct current.
i heard that there suppose to be a fuse near the blower?
