Title: Tyre sizes
Post by: Helios_Blue_Valver on 12 May 2004, 10:24
Time for tyres on my car. I am running 205/45-16's on 16x7 wheels at standard height right now on my mk2 16v. I have come across a set of 215/40-16 tyres that I am really tempted to buy. Is anyone else running this size? any clearance problems. I will more than likely be lowering it by 40mm with in the next couple months. Anyone know of any problems this size tyre may give me with a lowered car? Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Brad

the diametre will be the same as standard only 0.1% out.

Not sure about clearance. you might need to roll your arches. I'd advise this just to be on the safe side anyway when lowering.

thought about that too. dam it. guess i will just hold out for some 205's as I can't be bothered to do the arches right now anyway. Hows the car coming mate?
