Title: Front Washers
Post by: kappatango on 12 September 2008, 19:02
HI,

My front screen Washer is not working - but the wipers dont move either when the stalk is pulled - I figure its the switch as the wipers work fine in standard positions.

This failed over about a week - was being picky about when it would squirt - but a wiggle of the stalk got a result - now nothing.

Whats to replace? A switch?? The Whole Stalk? And is it a pig of a job....?

Thanks

Kappa

Easy job so long as you've got a socket big enough to get the steering wheel nut off.  IIRC its 23mm (have a search to find out).

Get a new stalk off ebay, but be careful to buy the right version as the MFA thingy differs on some models. Alternatively whip it off and give it a good clean with WD40 and see if it clears up - Mine did and lasted for a few more months, then broke altogether.

Awesome, thanks Conker - I will take a look on Ebay this weekend - is there an easy way to identify the one I need - is it an eyeball job, or go by the model??
