Golf Mk VI viral video

First drive of Mk VI:-

I like the looks, more of an evolution of the Mk V, than a revolution. The rear lights are growing on me.

Good find Tagnut
Still not won over by it. The interior centre section in front of the gearstick has lost it's handles too, which is a bit of a disappointment as it was one of the few standout features of the interior of the MKV.

Is that not the most boring viral ad in history?!

Cheers. I like the air con and ventilation controls. The change to a multi colour mfd brings it more in line with an Audi.

It's the most boring 'new' model in history.
Imagine writing the ad campaign ?
"Yeah, well some of it's new. But not the chassis . Or the electronics. Or suspension. There is a new engine we've dragged over from Audi though!"
For shame.
FACELIFT!!!!!!

Anyone noticed that the climate controls are same as the new Skoda Superb :undecided: ?

I was stood next to that exact car in the evo vid on saturday, got the pictures to prove it, if only I could figure out how to upload them on here. There were 3 of them just parked up in Iceland.
The interior looks much better, but the exterior is just so similar, I would describe it more as a facelift than a new model.

....Mk5.5 !!

my photos are posted on the where'd it go topic.

Like most the area I've had most concern over is the rear lights. Although having seen the car from more angles now it appears these are more "dynamic" than they first appear. I.e. they wrap around continuing the shoulder line of the car in a similar fashion to the 'rocco. I think most people will like it more once they see it in the flesh.

....You're right - Cars always look slightly different in real life, but it could be better or worse :afro:
