That looks a lot better, I must get round to doing mine. Can I ask what paint you used?

Just hammerite smooth

Just hammerite smooth
Cheers!

Just hammerite smooth
Is Hammerite good enough at such high heat? I remember on my first car painiting the tip of the exhaust with it and it bubbled pretty badly under the heat
Cheers,
R

My rear look  and the fronts are just starting to show some rust so I will I will be doing mine as well in the next few weeks.

well, exhaust must get hotter than hubs, anyway never had problems in the past, and i also know of a few people who have used it with no issue either

How long does it take to dry?

How long does it take to dry?
it says touch dry in an hour, but whilst i was doing on side the other was drying, just been out and you can touch it and no stickiness and i will be driving it in an hour with no issues (from past experience)
i basically did the sides, i didnt do the faces as wanted to put the alloys straight back on

That looks great blue. Your car is always mint though
-
WOW looks great, youv'e even cleaned your springs and rear suspension!

Like 182_Blue, I used Hammerite smooth. Did this around 18 months ago. Still no corrosion

and im guessing they never caught fire either LOL

No. Either I'm a slow-ass driver not generating enough heat or the paint is fine to use, IMO
-
I done my hubs a while ago with red hamerite smooth, and a month on they are still looking Top.
-
Did you prep the hubs in any way prior to painting?
-
washed them, wire brushed them then sprayed with brake cleaner
-
Going to have to get around to doing the rears soon. Fronts obviously don't need doing though.
Hammerite smooth is probably the easiest solution. too.
Nice work Blue.

looks alot better :)

Good work 182, looking great there mate.
I did the same on mine a while ago now, they still look as good as when I first did them. No fires, no rust and they look perfect. :smug:
Can I ask what you sprayed up into your arches, (I use AG vinyl stuff, have a few bottles left so trying to use it up)?
I took my disks off to do mine, fronts are quite easy apart from the 21mm nut :embarassed:
