Whilst i had my car on the ramp mechanic matey told me i had wayyy too much oil on the dipstick, and that there was a leak under the car, and leaked around the gasket i wasnt aware of this and have not noticed any damage thus far (engine wise) ive now had it drained and topped up to the correct level. can anybody confirm if i could've done lasting damage or damage done or any other advice as to what to do.
i purchased the car 3 weeks ago and it must;ve been topped up wit oil prior to this.

just keep an eye on the levels on daily basis
overfilling may have cause damage to the exhaust but its hard to tell :undecided:

And damage to the exhaust = excuse to upgrade to a full sports system always a bright side!! :grin:
