Afternoon all,
I need some headlight bulbs for my MK2, but not sure of the codes.
At the moment they only work on dipped, but one bulb out on main beam.
Also when I put full beam on only one of these bulbs works too.
I believe bulbs have codes H1, H5.. etc.
Does anynoe know the codes for these 2 bulbs please and cheap places to buy them?
Thanks

Yu want H4's for your headlights and H3's for the inner spot lights.
Ebay do the cheap H4 Xenon bulbs but most people go for the Philips Vision Plus which are about £15-£20.

You will need H4 bulbs. Standard are 55w/60w.
You can pick them up very easily from alot of places, any motor factor, petrol station etc...
Should only be a few quid.

Cheers guys.
Any ideas if these are any good, the price seems too cheap to me.

I wouldn't buy a non branded set of bulbs - cheaper but they don't last. As above, go for Philips, Hella or Ring, they'll last and the brightness is great.

get branded ones for sure.
dont buy from halfords ($$$$$) and dont buy blue ones, as they give off LESS light than clear/yellow bulbs.

i got Lucas 30% brighter ones from carspares for about £8
