Title: 95 ADY GTI, IS IT ODB2 COMPATIBLE?

My old man has asked me to buy him a fault code reader and reset tool.
Before i buy it i want to make sure it can do my car.
anyone know what language the ADY is? (plug is by the ashtray)
The link below is for the VAG one but he wants the all model version for 67 quid plus vat.
I have phone the dealer but they wont answer the phone! :sad:

yes obd2 that is...... the rare sharan engined one!! (mines got the same lump)

try ebaa for a reader and eraser..make sure it does abs,ecu and airbag with erase function

I just bought a handheld one for £25 all in off ebay, works great but a bit disapointed that the only thing i could erase was an abs sensor lol. But seriously it does engine, a/t, abs and srs.

I would of personally got the one with the usb but i dont have a laptop and i cant get the car in the living room lol.

I did explain i could get VAGCOM on the laptop for free but my dads a Ludite when it comes to computers.
I will have to do a training session on the hand held version as it is!
Ive checked out a few handhelds and the one ive found seems to be the best as he works on all types of cars except Citrons and sometimes Renualts ("french sh#@e").
The VAG model only sells for £27 quid and i hate Ebay!
Will post a report on the model he gets as i will test it on the old girl. :smiley:
