I have been contemplating getting front/rear mudflaps for my impending car.
Having seen a few members' cars with them I kind of rate them. Would mud flaps fit an ED30/Pirelli?
Main question: Does anyone have any pics of their car with mudflaps that they fancy sharing, preferrably an ED30 but any GTi would do!
Of course, if someone who is good on photoshop had a couple of spare minutes, and fancied photoshopping some mudflaps onto a random Pirelli pick so I could see what it would actually look like, I would be delighted! haha :nerd:
Thaaaaaanks!

why, i have them and think they make the car look lower and faar better,
oh and they wont fit on your car lol

Because... The Pirelli has colour coded bumpers and big black elephant ears will stand out like a zit on Jessica Alba's face.
Your car looks good. Its got black bumpers etc and it ultra low already

oh yea, lol
would be good if they were availabe in colour coded options

Well if they don't fit, Joe you've made it extremely easy for me in making the decision! Thanks!

normal gti ones fit on the front of ed30 / pirelli but the rears dont , vw have nt made any yet !! if they have i want some , imo the front ones look good

I agree with Joe - I've got them and I like them too  I've had them fitted from new. Should be standard fit IMHO and it would stop alot of the stone chips to the front end and windscreen - every time this has happened to me, the offending vehicle hasn't had any flaps

How much are a set of front & rear flaps for the GTi?

Think they were about £80-90 fitted when I got mine.

Or about £25 a pair if you are handy with spanners!
Want the part numbers?

Thanks, I'll call the dealer for an exact price.
My BMW 3 series required holes to be drilled, what a pain !!
Those on the A3 were dead easy. A few clips that pressed together, then a screw into the plastic body work trim.

The Mk5 Golf uses existing fittings, ie, remove a couple of torx screws, offer up the mud flap, and then reuse same fittings. They also need a couple of holes punching, just with a bradawl though, the fronts are through the plastic wheel arch liner, and the rears are through the carpet-type liner. If you can change a wheel, then you can fit the flaps. They even come with very good, detailed fitting instructions, with pictures.
