Not been to a car meet since Inters and getting withdrawal symptoms.. :sad: Was meant to be going to Trax last weekend (and as chav as it can be sometimes, it was just something to do), but with the weather being as glorious as it has been recently I binned it off..
So...
I think we need another meet asap guys as I really enjoy a good old get together whether it be a RR day, VW show, Santa Pod RWYB or just a meet for a few beers and a perv round each other Mrs... I... er... mean car.. :grin:
I know that you southerners have got a RR day beginning of Oct, but I don't think another meet will do any harm or maybe something to entertain us Northern Monkeys.. :wink:
So who's up for it?

Players is at North Weald airfield in Essex. Show cars in hangers and a car park full of dubs. Not sure what else goes on as I've not been before. Last years show was highly comended though.

I quench my thirst for meets with the local clubs. Lowdownvw is based in South Yorkshire and is mainly made up of the younger VW guys AND gals with cars from MKI Scirocco's to Jetta's, cabby's and the odd Leon and S3. They are very much into their VW's and love a party (or ten!) and VW weekend camping is their speciality! Great bunch of peeps. :cool:
I do agree though that our northern contingent of the brethren of VW MKV fanciers club haven't met for a long time :grin:
I'm off on holiday (yes - again!) next week and so FFS don't organise one then :wink:
If you really want a meet and are prepared to suffer the odd max powered motor, we could always organise a stand at the Donny motorshow in Doncaster at the end of this month? :undecided:

Brands is always a good meet for peeps down south, I don't mind a trip to the mid country though.

Saturday Night Special ( RWYB ) - RWYB all day till 9pm. Plus Jet Car, evening entertainment and camping Sat night. This is on the Sat 12 Oct.
I missed the last one and it was meant to be a spot on day/night. You don't have to run your car you can just watch us idiots run if ya want :grin: (however the thought of runnig up the strip at night sounds :drool:). Plus we can camp over at night and strike up a couple of disposable BBQ's and sink a few tins of your finest...
What say you lot?

AON are doing a blackpool pt.3 in October which always gets a good turn out. Its the Yorkshire region so all meet in appropriate Northern areas. I know its Astra's but could be a good oppertunity to show off our slick GTI's.

Think i'm going to struggle if at night mate.. Sat night i'm out and it's a bit far for me on a school night :grin:(especially if it's a late one and I have a good 3 hour journey home)..
