Title: supercharging a 8v gti ?

ive seen some videos on youtube of a supercharged 8v gti just wondering if any one has any more info on the conversion just a thought . :evil:

Well........

you'd need an engine in tip-top condition otherwise it will blow it apart  :huh: then there's the cost - big dollars! insurance etc etc  :lipsrsealed:

still wanna do it?  :grin:

Even if If you have a healthy engine it will need a full rebuild with diffrent pistons if you are doing it properly,  but you can get away with stacked head gaskets and cross your fingers.    Its been done... hell i turbo'd a 1.4 AEX and that still runs even to this day.  although to be fair it was driven 400 miles then stuck in a garage to rust  :grin:

the car you talk of was sorted by a company called alldubs.

ive been talking to loads of people about this and have most of the parts for the conv.

let me know what you want to know and ill help you out as much as i can

thats the company all dubs they used a eaton supercharger on it now i have looked at the kit that bahn brenner do but it seems to be only 16v and vr6 and too be honest my 8v has done 146000 so its just run in lol

mines on 150k but im building it on a sep lump that will have a good overhaul before it goes in.

so far ive worked it out to be like this...

2 headgaskets and a spacer plate machined up...
run a 5th injector as well as the standard injection system
