The horn on my wifes cabriolet has decided not to work recently, have taken the airbag off from the wheel and checked all the wiring and behind th steering cowl, but it al seems fine.
She has also been having problems with the headlight warning buzzer aswell (buzz when you open the door with the lights on) as that doesnt work anymore!
Just a quick question to see if the two are related, if they are run off the same relay or something that might be an easy fix?
ANy suggestions? Cheers.

Not ignition wiring related is it? Can't remember if horn works without the ignition on. Both are on different fuses - so can't be that...relay? not sure... Possibly an earthing point issue, again ignition related?? Just thinking out loud and throwing some thoughts in. Any other components not working?? :undecided: :undecided:

Horn doesnt work with ignition on or off
All other electrics working that I can see, only other problem is the headunit is on permanent live, I have tried swicthing the red and yellow clables behind the dash but that seems to make no difference, might this be related.
Something not quite right.

Electrical niggles are a real pain in the @rse huh?
I'm sticking with an ignition type gripe. But back to basics 1st I guess - check all fuses, earths etc try the good old "wiggle" test i.e. wiggle wires in and around the area to see if it makes a difference. Just take it easy of course messing near the airbag eh?

Yeah electrics arent my strong point , know a local autoelectrician but dont really want to be paying for someone to sort it if I can help it.
Am off work thursday and friday so will try to get out and have a little play with the wires like you say. Thanks for the advice.

Dunno if a fault code reader would give any clues? Assuming you've got one, or know someone that has. Just a thought.
