Title: airbag light

Hi guys,

the other day i was fitting my system in the car and i was messing aboutt witht he wires at the back of the dash, but now the airbag sensor light has come on and was ok before i did the audio system,

is ther some kinda of sensoer behind the tape compartment or under the glove box coz i had to take it off the get my hands in a small gap,

its a r reg vr6

You have probably more than likely just disturbed the cable (this is a good example of making sure you disconnect the battery while working in the facinity of airbags so they don't log any faults!).

I suspect all you need to do is connect a vagcom and clear the codes to get the light out, someone on here close by with a vagcom might be able to help.

I have one in Ipswich if that's any help!!!  :grin:

its the same as, just a free program that you can have a laptop, and the correct lead can be picked up from ebay for a few quid. This way we can all help each other out, rather than being charged big bucks from a dealer or specialist with a machine.
