Title: Help! Missfire...

Hi I have been having a little bother with a misfire on my 1995 MK3 Golf Gti 8v. I had it on the computer at the weekend and it is displaying faults,

00625 Speed signal, signal outside tolerance
00533 Idle speed regulation, lower stop value
00530 Throttle Potensiometer G88, Regulating difference SP

I had the TB off and cleaned it so im guessing a TBA needs to be performed for the last 2 codes? What about the 00625, Any thoughts?

i dunno about the codes but with a missfire first thing i would do if you havent already done so recently is plugs, leads and dizzy. in the order so you dont end up spending on stuff you dont need.

fit some plugs. see if its cured. if not fit the leads. see if cured. if not get a new dizzy. see if its cured. if not, then id be a little pi*#ed i had spent money i didnt need too lol

maybe look up the codes in more detail first though.
