OK - collected gearbox today, going to start having a go at removal Wed. 2mor going to collect some bits for it.
Anyone know the following:
Is there a special type of gearbox oil?
What is the quantity of gearbox oil required?
Are gaskets used where parts are fitted?
Looks like the clutch is hydraulic, and uses the brake res? If so, what fluid is standard?
Thanks
Leigh

OK - I've found the answers to some of my own questions in case anyone stumbles across this thread..

Not really - any will do, castrol driveline syntrax has been recommended

2.2l

Best idea when changing the gearbox is to not open the clutch at all..
Still not sure about the gasket situation though

I believe there is a seal between the gearbox and engine mate.. but most of the time this is fine to use again unless it has been damaged, dont hold me to it though!
